Our kiosk mount, the tablet that fits it, and touch screens
We make our own kiosk mount ($23 in our shop) for the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 in its rugged case, and we suggest budget touch screens for the boards staff tap: boarding and kennels, the hospital boards and dental.
Our kiosk mount
We make our kiosk mounts ourselves. They are $23 each in our shop: drrosiedvm.com/shop/kiosk-mount-galaxy-tab-active5.
The mount holds a Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 (8-inch) in the rugged case that comes in its box, the one that holds the S Pen. The mount is shaped around that case, so keep the tablet in it.
The Galaxy Tab Active5 has NFC built in, so it also works for NFC staff-card sign-in.
Touch screens for the boards staff tap
For the boarding and kennel area, the hospital boards and dental, our budget suggestion is an ordinary 55-inch TV with a clip-on infrared touch frame: about $300–400 for the TV and $130 and up for the frame (prices as of October 2026).
You can always go bigger: 65-inch commercial interactive panels (for example ViewSonic ViewBoard or BenQ Board) run about $2,300–2,800, are built for all-day use and usually carry a 3-year warranty. Most home TV warranties do not cover business use.
Boards people only look at, like the waiting room, need no touch: any TV with a streaming stick, paired with a code (see the TV displays article).
Common questions
- Do you sell kiosk mounts?
- Yes, we make them. They are $23 each in our shop and fit the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 in the rugged case that comes with it.
- Which tablet goes in your kiosk mount?
- A Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5, kept in the rugged case from its box (the one that holds the S Pen). It has NFC, so staff cards work on it too.
- What touch screen TV should we get?
- For the boards staff tap, like boarding and kennels, the hospital boards and dental, a regular 55-inch TV with a clip-on infrared touch frame is our budget pick. A 65-inch commercial interactive panel is the step up if you want one.
