Why switch, and how a switch to RosaVet goes
Straight answers to the worries vets bring to a switch: what is different about RosaVet, how it compares with Cornerstone, ezyVet and AVImark, and why a bad switch last time does not have to repeat.
You do not have to switch on a promise
Most switching stories go wrong because the clinic cuts over on the day the vendor says it is ready, then lives with the problems. With RosaVet you can prove it first:
- Try it free for 30 days (a card is required; it becomes paid on day 31 unless you cancel).
- Your current system keeps running the whole time. You export your clients, patients, appointments, vaccines, visit notes and prescriptions to CSV files and import a copy — nothing in your old system changes.
- Anything RosaVet cannot match is held for you to review; it never guesses. An import can be rolled back with one button (Owner › Imports › Roll back this import) until you start using its prescriptions — refilling, dispensing or printing one.
- No setup fee, and monthly plans have no minimum term (annual prepay is a 12-month term at 15% off). Cancel any time in Billing and keep access to the end of the period you already paid for.
- Nothing to install: it runs in a web browser, so there is no clinic server to set up, patch or replace.
You only move over when your own records, your own team and your own week say it works.
What we will and will not promise
No software company can honestly promise a switch with zero problems, and we will not either. What we can promise is that monthly plans have no minimum term, you see your own data working before you commit, and we tell you up front what is not built yet (see What RosaVet is › Honest limits today) instead of finding out a year later.
Every new feature lands on your existing plan at the same price. Our prices are public on the pricing page, so any change shows up there.
Want hands-on help? We can run the import for you ($499 one time, not refundable), or come to your clinic for two days of install and training ($4,500 plus travel).
How RosaVet differs from Cornerstone, ezyVet and AVImark
These come from each company’s own published terms and documentation, checked October 5, 2026. The full side-by-side, with sources, is at drrosiedvm.com/compare.
- Where it runs: Cornerstone and AVImark run on a server in your clinic; ezyVet is cloud with an offline mobile app; RosaVet is cloud only.
- Contracts: a Cornerstone subscription starts with a term set in your order form, and IDEXX’s terms ask for 90 days’ written notice to end it. ezyVet starts with a one-year term that renews every year, with notice due at least 30 days before renewal. RosaVet: monthly has no minimum term; annual prepay is 12 months at 15% off; cancel in Billing.
- Cancelling early: IDEXX’s terms let you cancel early, but there is no refund of prepaid or unused fees and fees stay due through the end of the term. RosaVet on monthly billing: you stop paying at the end of the month you cancel in.
- Prices: we found no public price list for Cornerstone or AVImark; ezyVet publishes a starting price and quotes implementation separately. Every RosaVet price is on our pricing page.
- Add-ons: at IDEXX, the Vello client app, Web PACS imaging, SmartFlow anesthesia and dental charting, and the pharmacy formulary are separate purchases, and the CoVet AI scribe is its own subscription. Covetrus Comms and the vRxPro store are separate products that connect to AVImark. RosaVet’s per-DVM price includes the client portal, surgery module, formulary and voice-to-SOAP drafts.
- Price increases: IDEXX’s Cornerstone terms say it may raise fees from time to time, with no cap stated.
Only DVMs are billed on RosaVet; every other staff login is free.
Common questions
- Do you do shadow mode?
- Not as a named feature. The same idea: run RosaVet alongside your current system during the 30-day free trial, on an imported copy of your own data, while nothing in your old system changes.
- Why should I switch to RosaVet?
- You get a cloud system with every AI feature included, only your DVMs billed, public prices and no minimum term on monthly plans, plus help running the day — like a queue board that shows the whole team when a room is running long, and a private coach for each vet’s visit times. And you do not have to take that on faith: run it free for 30 days next to your current system on a copy of your own data, and every import can be rolled back.
- What makes RosaVet better than what I am using now?
- It depends on what you use — which system are you on? Compared with Cornerstone, ezyVet and AVImark: RosaVet is cloud only with nothing to install, has no minimum term on monthly plans, publishes every price, and includes the client portal, surgery module, formulary and voice-to-SOAP drafts in the per-DVM price. The full side-by-side with sources is at drrosiedvm.com/compare.
- How can you guarantee I will not have the same problems as my last switch?
- Nobody can honestly guarantee zero problems, and we will not pretend to. What we do instead: you run RosaVet free for 30 days while your current system keeps running, on a copy of your own records; imports can be rolled back; and monthly plans have no minimum term. You switch only when it works for you.
- What is the catch?
- No setup fee, no minimum term on monthly plans, staff logins free and every AI feature included. Once the 30-day free trial ends, fees are not refunded, so use the trial to decide. The honest catches are what is not built yet: no IDEXX or Antech lab connection, no offline mode, text-message reminders waiting on carrier registration, and the clinic screens are made for computers and tablets, not phones.
- Will my price go up?
- We will not promise prices never change — nobody honestly can. Our prices are public on the pricing page and the same for every clinic, so any change shows up there, and every new feature lands on your existing plan at no extra cost.
- You are a small company — what if you go out of business?
- Fair question. RosaVet is made by Dr. Rosie DVM LLC. Monthly plans have no minimum term, so you are not locked in. Company and data-contract questions are answered by our team directly — ask and Rosie will hand you to a person, or email hello@drrosiedvm.com. There is no one-click full export of your records today.
- My last switch was a nightmare — they promised it would be easy and we had problems for over a year. How do I know this will not happen again?
- That is a real cost, and you are right to be careful. The difference is that you never have to cut over on our word: try it free for 30 days alongside your current system, with your own data imported as a copy you can roll back. Nothing to install, no minimum term on monthly plans, and we publish what is not built yet so there are no surprises later. If it is not right, you cancel in Billing.
- Can I run RosaVet alongside my current system before I switch?
- Yes. Importing makes a copy from CSV files you export, so your current system keeps running unchanged while you try RosaVet free for 30 days.
- What happens if it does not work out?
- Monthly plans have no minimum term. Roll back an import you have not started using, and cancel any time in Billing — you keep access to the end of the period you already paid for. Fees already paid are not refunded, so decide during the 30-day free trial.
- Will you come to our clinic to help us switch?
- Yes, if you want it: two days of on-site install and training for $4,500 plus travel. We can also run the import for you for $499 one time.
