This policy explains how DrRosieDVM.com uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels, and tags), the categories of cookies we use, and — most importantly — how you stay in control. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as local storage, tracking pixels, and tag managers — perform comparable functions. We group them by what they do, not the underlying technology.
Sign-in, account security, fraud prevention, load balancing, and remembering your theme and language. The site cannot function without these.
Examples: Clerk session (__session, __client), rosie_consent (your cookie choice), NEXT_LOCALE, drrosie-theme
First-party, privacy-hardened product analytics so we can understand which pages are useful and fix what is not. Autocapture and session recording are disabled; we do not use these for advertising.
Examples: PostHog, Vercel Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics
Measuring the performance of our advertising and reaching people who may be interested in our platform. These are the only cookies that involve third-party advertising networks.
Examples: Google Tag Manager, Meta (Facebook) Pixel, Google Ads
Analytics and advertising cookies are off by default. Nothing in those categories loads until you make a choice in our cookie banner. You can accept all, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose category by category — rejecting is as easy as accepting.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the site footer, which reopens the cookie manager.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and let you enable Global Privacy Control. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working (for example, staying signed in).
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services on our behalf. Each has its own privacy and cookie practices. Our full list of data processors is available on our Subprocessors page. Advertising cookies are provided by Google (Tag Manager, Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook Pixel), and only load with your advertising consent.
If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at hello@drrosiedvm.com. We may update this policy periodically; the "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
